#1 1985 Chicago Bears

The 1985 Chicago bears were going into their 66th regular season game and they wanted to improve from their last year's season.  They started their season great and were on a 12 game winning streak without losing a game.  Unfortunately, the Bears could not complete a perfect season because they lost on the 13th week to the Miami Dolphins 24-38.  In this game, the Dolphins came out swinging and pulled out an upset which no one thought would happen.  The Bears defense was ranked number one in the league.  The strange thing about the season is that they went 1-3 in pre-season and no one expected them to go to the playoffs.  A dominant player the Bears had was Walter Payton.  Also, they had two great receivers (Willie Gault)(Dennis McKinnon) with a stellar quarter back which was Jim McMahon.  The Bears entered the playoffs with a game against the Giants which they ended up winning 21-0.  In the NFC championship, they beat the LA Rams 24-0 which made the Chicago Bears the first team to record back to back playoff shutouts.  In Super Bowl XX, it was the New England Patriots vs The unstoppable Chicago Bears.  The Patriots were the first team to score but after that it was just a blood bath.  Chicago's defense was just too good and the Pats couldn't but anything over the enplane.  The Chicago Bears ended up winning the Super Bowl 46-10 and ended up setting several scoring records through the season including the Super Bowl.  The Bears were a great team with a great coach.  And with the proper skill and motivation of players, you can achieve anything.
